Glycerol, also called Glycerine or glycerin, is a simple polyol compound. It is an organic alcohol mixture of sugar and alcohol and is fully miscible in water.

It is used extensively in the beauty industry for making soaps, anti-ageing gels and moisturizers. Furthermore, it is also used in the Cosmetics industry.
